Tracey and Richard Wedding Teaser

“Tracey and Richard’s wedding teaser. A prelude to something great.”

Every wedding we do is so vastly different from the next. I'm always amazed at the variations you can have for a wedding. And don't get me wrong, this isn't a complaint, its thankfulness that my job never gets boring! This is just a simple teaser for Tracey and Richard's wedding. It was located at the quite unique and amazing Highland Springs Resort in Beaumont, CA  Read more...

Kayla and Anthony Wedding at Muckenthaler Mansion

“Kayla and Anthony’s quaint wedding at the Muckenthaler Mansion is a step in a new direction for Rustic Red Studio.”

Where to even begin with this blog...so much to say! I really enjoyed both shooting and editing this wedding. Kayla and Anthony were a true joy to meet and work with. Barely into shooting this wedding I knew immediately that it was going to be a different edit all together, and boy I couldn't have been more spot on. This edit marks several firsts for Rustic Red Studio, music style choice, shooting style, color grading, audio mixing, cinestyle ratio, and Magic Lantern hacked firmware and Technicolor Cinestyle color profile on camera, all of which I will address below.  Read more...

Kate and Eric Wedding at Temecula Creek Inn

“Kate and Eric’s Wedding at the serene Temecula Creek Inn will make you feel like a part of their family.”

When we first showed up to shoot this wedding, I knew that it was going to be a good day. The weather was down right perfect and the moment I walked into the bridal suite it just felt right. Throughout the day as I got to really know Kate and Eric and their family, I got to see how closely knit each family was with each other.  Read more...

Jennifer and Chris Short Film

"A Day in the Desert"

Jennifer and Chris are an amazing couple that I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with. Their wedding was at the beautiful Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells, California. The resort itself was quite a spectacle and a perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Jennifer and Chris choose to do a first look or reveal before the ceremony. This allowed them to do the photoshoot with each other before the ceremony and to start celebrating with the wedding party early.  Read more...

Kate and Eric Wedding Teaser

"Kate and Eric Wedding Teaser for Your Enjoyment "

In anything I edit, the first 30 seconds is the most important. It sets the tone for the rest of the edit and it is my one opportunity to capture your attention for you to want to watch the rest. In this case I could resist showing everybody the beginning of the edit. I wrapped it up in teaser form an uploaded it for everybody to see.  Read more...

Melissa and Trevor Wedding Teaser

This is the first in a long run of teasers we are putting out for all our Short Films.

Melissa and Trevor were married at the Ponte Family Estate Winery in Temecula, California. The day could not have been more beautiful and I can't wait to finish the Short Film. Melissa and Trevor were a pleasure to work with and their family and friends seemed to all really enjoy the day. There is just something about being at a winery that makes everything just look that much better so we didn't have any trouble pulling off some pretty cool shots and really shooting what the day was really about.  Read more...

Paris and Hani Wedding at Nixon Library

Paris and Hani were married at beautiful Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California and we were blessed to be a part of their day.

To state upfront, Paris and Hani held God in their relationship and you can clearly see that they have a bond between them that differs from most. Working with couples that have a deeper sense of love for each other always inspires me to be a better husband and father to my children. Not to stray to far from the blog at hand, but part of why I enjoy so much working in the wedding industry is that it is a constant reminder of that sense of intimate connection and pure joy that couples have when first married.  Read more...

Mikele and Michael Wedding at the Ritz Carlton

Mikele and Michael were married at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, California.

These two are the couple that most aspire to be. Both were wholly and devoted to each other, put each other before themselves, and had a love that will last through the trials that marriage often brings.

The day could not have been more beautiful. Nestled atop a cliff overlooking the ocean, the ceremony was simply breathtaking.

The main photoshoot took place just down the cliff on the beach. I remember as we were going down there, how incredibly the sunset and weather happened to be.

Part of the ceremony that didn't make it into this edit was a group of people from Mikele's church came up and sang a song a cappella. I wanted to show part of it here in still form.  Read more...

Kathryn and Brandon Wedding at U.S. Grant Hotel

In the heart of San Diego, Kathryn and Brandon were married at the breathtakingly historic U.S. Grant Hotel.

The day was perfect for a wedding, the weather was amazing and the location was beautiful. Both Kathryn and Brandon were a joy to work with and a pleasure to be around. Their family and friends joined them in a outright celebration of their marriage and it was apparent that everyone there was having the time of their lives. From the amazing live band to the gorgeous wedding cake the reception was non-stop from the time it started. We hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed filming and editing it together.

A Vintage Wedding Vignette Inspired by Water for Elephants

"This mock wedding is inspired by the book and movie Water for Elephants."

A few weeks ago Marilyn (who we first met when we shot her wedding) contacted us and wanted to know if we wanted to do a mock vintage wedding shoot. Of course we said "heck yeah!" We didn't know much more than that until the day before the shoot. She emailed us the location which happened to be not to far from us, Orange Empire Railway Museum. When we first got to the train station, it was like finding a hidden treasure, we were all looking around in disbelief. We had no idea something so amazing was located so close to where we live. Once we found Marilyn she walked us around and told us that the movie "Water for Elephants" actually did filming there not too long ago for part of the movie, which is where the inspiration for this whole shoot came from. What was most amazing to me out of the whole day was how excited all the vendors were to get together out of their own free time and make something amazing. It was a pleasure to work with all the amazing talent that went into the making of this extra ordinary day.  Read more...
