Jessica and Scott Wedding Trailer

“Jessica and Scott’s Wedding Trailer. An Epic Wedding of Movie Proportion”

Scott and his family have been friends with my wife since she was a little girl. Needless to say, when I heard he was getting married, I knew we were shooting their wedding. Scott has a history with movies so I thought it would be appropriate to edit a quick trailer with epic movie trailer music.  Read more...

Sarah and Luke Wedding - My Little Brother

“Sarah and Luke’s Wedding. A Weekend to Remember”

Sarah and Luke were married at The Filter Building which sits right next to the White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. Sarah and Luke are family, and I couldn't have been more happy by both shooting and being a part of their wedding. Really, it was a three day event covering both Sarah and Luke graduating from TCU, Luke being commissioned into the Army as an officer, and ending with the two of them being joined in marriage.
The entire weekend was non-stop everything. I wanted this edit to juxtapose the weekend, by stripping out all the hecticness and focus on what really matters.  Read more...

Destination Wedding Shoot in the Caribbean

“Whole Heaps Of Lots Of Fun...And Some Work Too”

We don't get out much here at Rustic Red Studio. When we aren't shooting, we are in the studio editing. And we pretty much shoot most of our weddings within driving range of where we live. So when a destination wedding came in to being for us, I thought it would be a good idea to document it. But like most things I plan, they don't go according to plan. Instead of doing a behind the scenes look at how we shot the destination wedding, all I was left with was getting there and getting back. I like a challenge so I sat down to edit this into something fun that everybody can enjoy, so enjoy!  Read more...

Nikki and Ryan were married at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego. This wedding was a wedding to remember. Ryan kicked off the day by marrying the love of his life Nikki. Selah (Pause • Breathe) - with only one life to live

“This Is My Dad, He Has Cancer.”

We are all going to die at some point. Maybe tomorrow, or maybe in 50 years, we really don't know. Those that are diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease immediately get a different perspective on life. My dad lives in the here and now, making everyday moments count. Will he live past the statistical death rate? Maybe, or he could live for another 20 plus years, or maybe only three.  Read more...

Katie and Justin's Wedding Teaser in La Jolla

“Katie and Justin’s Wedding Teaser in La Jolla, California”

Katie and Justin's wedding was a small intimate gathering of close family and friends. When we booked this wedding I was happy to find out that it was a small intimate backyard wedding. I'm a sucker for the simple weddings that are super close and personal and this wedding was no exception. However what I didn't know is that the backyard sat on a cliff overlooking the ocean. And to top it off, the reception was at another house with a back lawn that lead right to the ocean, also currently owned by the same family.  Read more...

Paula and Adam Wedding Trailer

“Paula and Adam were married at the cozy Laguna Cliffs Resort and Spa in Dana Point, California.”

Every wedding we do is different. Even if it is at the same venue with the same vendors, with the same colors, and same theme, every wedding is different. Every couple has a different personality, they bring something different to the day. Paula and Adam were both laid back and relaxed about the day. They were just their to enjoy their time together with family and friends.  Read more...

Jenna and Dustin Wedding Trailer at Twin Oaks Garden Estate

“Jenna and Dustin’s Wedding Trailer Leaves You Wanting More”

Jenna and Dustin were married at the Twin Oaks Garden Estate which is centered around an old school house that was built in 1891. From the moment you walk on to the property you are seemingly transported back to the end of the 19th century. This venue was perfect for both Jenna and Dustin.  Read more...

Tiffany and Brandon - A Dubstep Wedding

“Tiffany and Brandon’s Wedding Highlights Stray From The Norm”

Tiffany and Brandon were in for a surprise when I sent them their wedding highlights. I decided it was a good idea to edit their video to an ever increasing music genre called "dubstep". I actually took a huge risk editing this way before showing any proof of concept to them; for if they didn't like it, then I would have wasted my time. This edit was actually going to be a polar opposite had I not gotten sick, which forced me to not work for a few days. In that short span, a few things happen that made a shift in direction for this edit.  Read more...
