Kim and Mark were married at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The day was gorgeously beautiful, plenty of sun, and perfect weather.
Kim started getting ready in a huge suite at the Westlake Village Inn. It was two stories with a spiraling staircase and a baby grand piano in the foyer! With the shock of the amazing suite gone, I got right to work filming the girls getting ready. The guys showed up later and Kim and Mark did a reveal before the ceremony. Read more...
Goli and Pejman were married at the beautiful Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California. Goli and Pejman were one of the nicest couples that I've ever met. They were so friendly that by the end of the day it felt like I had know them for a long time. The ceremony was a traditional Persian wedding that was beautifully carried out. Both Goli and Pejman started the ceremony by dancing their way in. The dancing continued non-stop with all the guests from the grand entrance to the last dance. These people know how to celebrate a wedding.
This was the first wedding in which I shot with the Canon Rebel T2i. In fact the only lenses I had for it was the stock lens that came with it, 17-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and a 28mm f1.8 It was only used about half and half with my other Panasonic cameras.
Julia & Jorie got married on February 14th, Valentines Day at the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA. Their day was so romantic! The day began with getting ready in a very large, very beautiful, suite at the Mission Inn.
Julia and her girls got ready in one room, and Jorie and his guys got ready in another so they didn't see each other before the reveal. It was great for us to have them getting ready so close. After they finished getting ready they did a reveal and photoshoot in and around the Mission Inn, there are such beautiful places there.
Julia & Jorie's day was filled with family and love.
They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure to work with them!
What happens when a wedding gets treated like a movie? That's what I set out to find. Everyday the tools used to capture a live event are becoming better and better. I want to always push the envelope to what the wedding industry is doing for couples getting married.
I was testing some color grading for this wedding, when I toyed with the idea of cutting a movie trailer style teaser showcasing the capabilities of the T2i. This is what I came up with. I hope you guys like it.
The camera that is used is a still camera that does full HD video. What this allows me to do is get the "look" of movies with a small compact camera. If you notice some of the shots the subject is in focus while the background is out of focus.
Traditionally to get that look on a video camera you need an adapter and extra lenses which makes it huge and cumbersome. With the new camera I can freely capture weddings with better control and much better quality than before. Read more...
Lena and Isaac were married on the Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes, California. The day started out at the breathe taking Terrenae Resort & Hotel. This hotel had absolutely beautiful views and was set on the rocky cliffs of the ocean. The mood was definitely the most relaxed of any bridal prep we've seen.
The ceremony was gorgeous, set on a point over looking the ocean. You couldn't have asked for a better view or better weather.
Lena and Isaac made our work day so enjoyable. Their hearts are filled with joy and love and it was definitely apparent the day of their wedding.
This is just a quick stitched together piece of my family and I at Disneyland.
Now normally I would tend to stray away from putting up too much personal stuff on my company blog, but I think this might be an exception. For one I'm testing out a new video system that will achieve a much better look and feel that our future clients will appreciate. Secondly, its good to put a face behind a company every once in a while. Unfortunately, I'm not actually in any of the footage, so you will just see my lovely wife and adorable daughter. Read more...
Sheleen and Jay were married in the small but quaint Nyeland Community Church in Oxnard, CA. This couple was full of family and God and they showed it every step of the way. Both Sheleen and Jay grew up in the Philippines, but didn't meet each other until they moved here to the United States.
I don't know when the last time I met a more humbled couple then Sheleen and Jay. Even though the day was about them, they made time to spend with their family. It is people like them that make me appreciate what we do here and personally make me love my wife more every day.
Vivian and Ona were married at the Luminarias Restaurant in Monterey Park, California. Their day was filled with non-stop action from traditional chinese games, tea ceremony, reveal, and amazing photo shoots. There was so much we couldn't pack it all in to one highlight reel! Read more...
Wendy and Van were married on the Point Dume beach in Malibu, California. This day was a very fun event for us. Wendy and Van were both very pleasant and fun to be around.
When we met Wendy and Van for the first time, the really liked the older jazz feeling for their wedding. You can really see the old feel in all of Wendy's dresses. Read more...
Sheila and Bob were married at The River Church in Redlands, California. While Sheila was in the hair salon getting her hair and makeup done, Bob and his guys were at a local barbershop getting an old fashion shave. Sheila and Bob highlighted the day by rented a classic Bentley to drive them around.
They both knew the importance of the photoshoot session so much so they put aside about 3hrs just for the photos. After the photoshoot they had the Bentley take them to their favorite sushi restaurant to get a snack before their ceremony. Read more...
